The Synapse Mobile Radio Station applications ("The Application") are designed to work on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPod and Android, and can be configured to work with any Content Management System (CMS), including the Synapse CMS.

Advertising can be placed using OpenX, DART, Burst Media, AdMob, JumpTap, Quattro and Millennial Media accounts.

Synapse Multimedia believes media companies need 100% local control over their content and advertising revenue, this allows them to properly manage and budget their monthly cost in order to maximize their revenue.

The media company reserves 100% of all ad space and revenue on the mobile application, and there are not any overages for hosting of the application.

Mobile Device Application Features

The Mobile Radio Station Application has five main sections (or buttons) that appear at the bottom of the device screen when the application is loaded. Standard setup titles: Home, Radio, News, Weather, More. The titles of these buttons can be configured during the setup process of the application and can be configured with any name or function.

XML Configuration:
Application administrators are given access to the XML config file which allows items such as the number of stories, radio feeds and videos that appear for the end user, to be modified.

Synapse Management Console

The management console provides an easy way for administrators to manage their content, live radio feeds, videos and advertising. The system can also be configured to automatically import data and videos from any CMS system using XML data feeds.

Content Categories

Throughout the application, users have the ability to drill down into content categories for additional information. These categories are represented by a File Folder Icon to the left of the content category. Clicking the folder opens it and displays the next level of information with a title, image and publish date and time. This feature is used on Live Feeds, News, Video and More sections.

  1. Synapse Mobile Church Application Splash ScreenHome Screen Section
The Home screen loads by default when the application opens. Items or live radio feeds are listed with one item per line on the home screen. However, an item title can be a maximum of two lines. If a title is too long the application will truncate the title at the end of line two, this is indicated by the use of three dots at the end of the title. Each line item/story supports one image on the left (77 x 57), the item title, and a publish date and time.

When a user clicks a title the application drills down and loads the full item. Each full item supports a title, an image (300 x 226) located at the top of the item just below the title, and the full item text.

    Items controlled by application administrator:
    1. Content categories
    2. Number of stories to display in the section. The application looks at the publish date and sort order for each item and displays it. The number of stories shown is based on the value set by the application administrator.

  2. Live Radio & Video Section
The application administrator has the ability to select the categories and number of top videos to return for this section. The application looks at the publish date and sort order for each video and displays it. The number of videos shown is based on the value set by the application administrator.

    Items controlled by application administrator:
    1. Live Radio and Video categories
    2. Number of top videos to return for this section. The application looks at the publish date and sort order for each video and displays it. The number of videos shown is based on the value set by the application administrator.
    3. This section can be substituted with any of the items in the more section.

The Synapse mobile radio product also supports live radio and video streaming which can be used to stream the live radio station on air feed, daily news broadcast or special live events. This is setup by Synapse during configuration or can be added after the application is setup for an additional fee.

  3. News and Event Section
The News and Event section works in the same manner as the homepage, but with a few additional features. When a user clicks on the item the application drills down and loads the full item. 7. Advertising
Advertising on the Mobile Device Application is controlled by the Synapse Ad Manager in the Synapse CMS, OpenX, DART, Burst Media, AdMob, JumpTap, Quattro or Millennial Media. Each section except for live video has the ability to support a banner (300 x 60) from either the top or bottom of the application window, but not both simultaneously. Only one ad spot can be utilized at a time and this preference is controlled by the application administrator. The Mobile Device ad statistics are available in the Synapse CMS, OpenX, DART, Burst Media, AdMob, JumpTap, Quattro or Millennial Media.

  8. User Statistics
