LOCAL YMCA TO RELEASE NEW WEBSITE
Synapse Multimedia and YMCA partnered to design new website to be released on November 11th!

SHREVEPORT, LOUSIANA - November 3, 2011 - The YMCA of Northwest Louisiana announced today their scheduled release of a brand new website, which will have an updated look and feel to match the new brand of the Corporate YMCA. The YMCA chose Synapse Multimedia, a local Shreveport based IT firm, to design and create their new website. In addition to the website, Synapse assisted the YMCA with creating an effective Facebook page. They chose the release date to coincide with their annual event, the Souper-Bowl, which is a youth football tournament, focused on receiving canned food donations.
"We are very excited about the release of our website because our current website is incapable of publicizing what is going on at the YMCA effectively," says Gary Lash, Executive Director of the YMCA, "Additionally, all employees of the YMCA can manage the content which will allow for quicker updates that are pertinent for our members. This is just the beginning of many positive changes and upgrades that are to come for the YMCA."
Some of the new features of the website include a very friendly user experience, choice of color scheme, better navigation, an emphasis on YMCA focus areas, social media links, and an easier method of donating to the organization.
"We have thoroughly enjoyed partnering with the YMCA because of how important their organization is to our community," states Director of Business Development, Heather Kasparek, "We believe that re-designing their website will greatly assist them with other community improvement initiatives and will also increase membership. "
The YMCA of Northwest Louisiana has wonderful plans for the future, but needs the community's help to make it happen. Some of those plans include a build out and remodel of the Broadmoor YMCA, and improvements to Camp Forbing.
Up next for the YMCA of North Louisiana will be the development of their very own mobile application, created by Synapse Multimedia. This will be released in the coming weeks.
